Diskettes Reading Group
A Monthly Reading Group is held at the Forum in Southend. This group
runs in partnership with Southend Library and RNIB and involves
chatting and discussing a mutual love of books over tea an coffee.
The group welcomes people of all ages and includes members
with different types of visual impairment.
Each month the group reviews two titles and the RNIB sends a copy
of the titles to each member of the reading group, in their preferred
listening format. Each person in the group therefore needs to be a
member of the Royal National Institute for the Blind.
Transport is provided for a membership fee and SBWO organise the taxis.
So, if you love your large print or talking books, contact us on
(01702) 342131 or call Greg Simmonds at Southend Borough
Libraries on 07818510144.
RNIB Talking Books can be contacted on 0303 123 9999.
We can help with registration if required.
